About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Engineer to join our team at ESS Ltd. as a key member of our operations team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform electro-mechanical repairs to our PLC-controlled plant, handling and conveying equipment, pneumatic and hydraulic control systems, and other related tasks.
  • Maintain the plant facilities and services, including compressed air systems, to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Contribute to and execute Preventive & Predictive Maintenance Routines to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
  • Collaborate with the operations team to achieve targets and objectives, providing technical expertise and support as needed.
  • Work closely with equipment suppliers to procure new equipment, installations, and modifications, ensuring seamless integration with our existing systems.
  • Exercise initiative and judgment in responding to faults, taking prompt action to resolve issues and minimize disruptions.
  • Ensure a clean and safe working environment, including transit areas, workshops, and stores, adhering to company standards and regulations.
  • Participate in training and development programs, including cross-skilling and other job-related competencies, to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Accurately record and input maintenance data into our Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), including work carried out, stores transactions, and other relevant information.

Person Specification:

  • Hold a trades qualification in Electrical with a strong understanding of mechanical principles.
  • Demonstrate a multi-skilled and cross-skilled ethos, with a willingness to adapt and learn.
  • possess aptitude for process awareness, diagnostic, and trouble-shooting experience gained in a high-volume environment.
  • Be a team player with excellent communication skills, able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in computer skills is an advantage, but not essential.

Requirements:

  • Must be available to work early or late shifts, as required.
