Job Title: Maintenance Engineer Apprentice

As a key member of our team at ESS Ltd., you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our plant facilities. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Maintenance Engineer Apprentice to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform electro-mechanical repairs to our PLC-controlled plant, handling and conveying equipment, pneumatic and hydraulic control systems.
  • Maintain the plant facilities and services, including compressed air.
  • Contribute to and carry out Preventive & Predictive Maintenance Routines.
  • Support the operations team in achieving targets.
  • Collaborate with equipment suppliers on new equipment and installations and modifications.
  • Exercise initiative and judgment in responding to faults and taking corrective action.
  • Ensure a clean and safe working environment, including transit areas and the workshop.
  • Participate in training and development, including cross-skilling and other job-related competencies.
  • Input maintenance records into our CMMS system.
Person Specification:
  • Trades qualification in Electrical with good Mechanical knowledge.
  • Multi-skilled / cross-skilled ethos.
  • Aptitude for process awareness, diagnostic / trouble-shooting experience in a high-volume environment.
  • Strong team player with initiative.
  • Computer skills an advantage.

Note: Must be available for early/late shifts.
