Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Receptionist/Client Service Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our front-line staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, managing patient flow, and ensuring a seamless experience for our patients and visitors.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide a warm and welcoming greeting to patients and visitors, ensuring a positive first impression of our organization.
- Manage patient appointments, including booking, changing, and cancelling appointments, as well as handling patient inquiries and concerns.
- Efficiently process patient registration, including collecting and verifying patient information, and ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.
- Handle prescription requests, including processing and dispatching prescriptions, and communicating with patients and pharmacies as needed.
- Assist with administrative tasks, such as opening and closing the building, managing supplies, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
- Collaborate with the reception team to ensure a smooth and efficient operation, including sharing knowledge, expertise, and best practices.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, including identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to enhance patient satisfaction and experience.
- Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
- Adhere to all relevant policies, procedures, and guidelines, including those related to patient confidentiality, data protection, and health and safety.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a reception or customer service role, preferably in a healthcare setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, staff, and external partners.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
- Proficiency in computer software, including patient management systems and other relevant applications.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach to changing priorities and demands.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in a related field an asset.
