We are seeking an experienced and skilled Assistant Financial Controller to join our team at EG Group. As a key member of our Finance function, you will play a vital role in leading and managing the Country Finance function, working closely with our Financial Controller to drive business growth and success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Financial Controller in leading and managing the Country Finance function, ensuring the delivery of month end and year end audit, and continually improving and developing both the team and processes.
  • Assist in formulating internal controls, ensuring compliance with regulations and accounting guidelines, and preparing Statutory Financial Statements.
  • Plan and manage audit, owning key deliverables, and deliver group and operational support on key requirements and initiatives.
  • Provide leadership to the FSS team in the entity structure, enabling and unlocking the implementation of new internal controls, and process management.
  • Prepare local stat packs and manage processes, reporting on key metrics, including cash to revenue, impairment, SAP vs BI, fuel analysis, and BAU commercial BP.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Leadership and management experience, with a strong track record of driving business growth and success.
  • Knowledge of German GAAP and financial accounting principles.
  • Compliance and audit management expertise, with experience in year end audit and month end clos.
  • Technical accounting skills, with a comprehensive understanding of IFRS16 accounting treatment.
  • Strong stakeholder relationships, with experience in business partnering, financial reporting, and commercial analysis.
  • Ability to adapt to a dynamic, rapidly changing business environment, with strong multitasking and time management skills.
  • Strong MS Office skills, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, and experience with SAP and Qube desirable.
