Lead Credit Control Specialist

Air Charter Service, a leading aviation brokerage firm, specializes in providing exceptional brokering services to our diverse clientele, including Cargo, Commercial, and Private Jet customers. With over three decades of successful operations and a global presence, we are excited to announce a new opportunity within our Finance team at our London headquarters.
Position Overview
The primary objective of this newly established role is to effectively manage and reduce overdue debts. We are committed to achieving this goal by applying best practices and maintaining strict discipline in our debt collection processes.
Key Responsibilities
The responsibilities associated with this position include, but are not limited to:
- Proactively reaching out to brokers as payment deadlines approach to ensure timely payments.
- Directly contacting clients with overdue payments to facilitate collections.
- Overseeing the management of our global debtor accounts to minimize overdue debts.
- Ensuring adherence to the company's credit policies.
- Collaborating with the legal department for cases of overdue debts where payment commitments have not been fulfilled.
- Generating weekly management information reports.
- Conducting training sessions for brokers as necessary.
- Leading and mentoring a team of Credit Controllers.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Extensive experience in a sales-driven environment with a focus on debt collection across various regions.
- Outstanding communication and negotiation abilities.
- Proven capacity to influence both internal brokers and external clients.
- A high level of resilience and determination.
- Excellent leadership and team management capabilities.
- Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- A keen eye for detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- The ability to thrive under pressure and meet stringent deadlines.
