Position Overview
We are seeking a qualified Group Senior Credit Controller to enhance our Finance team at our headquarters. This newly established role is crucial for managing and reducing overdue accounts, ensuring the financial health of our operations.
Key Responsibilities
The primary objective of this role is to mitigate overdue debts through effective strategies and best practices. The responsibilities include:
- Proactively engaging with brokers as payment deadlines approach to secure timely payments.
- Directly reaching out to clients with overdue accounts to facilitate collections.
- Monitoring and managing our global debtor portfolio to minimize overdue debts.
- Ensuring adherence to the company's credit policies.
- Collaborating with the legal department for accounts that remain unpaid despite commitments.
- Generating weekly management information reports.
- Providing training to brokers as necessary.
- Leading and mentoring a team of Credit Controllers.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Extensive experience in a sales environment focused on debt collection across various regions.
- Outstanding communication and negotiation abilities.
- Proven capacity to influence both internal stakeholders and external clients.
- Strong resilience and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent leadership and team development capabilities.
- Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- A high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- The ability to thrive under pressure and meet stringent deadlines.
