Job Summary

This role provides essential support to the Head of Accounting for EMEA, focusing on specific entities in Dubai and Europe. You'll play a key part in managing Accounts Payable, VAT compliance, travel & expense billing, and general ledger month-end processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and process supplier invoices, ensuring accuracy and proper coding within Oracle systems (Turkey/India/UK/Dubai).
  • Post invoices to the appropriate AP/GL systems.
  • Prepare payment runs for employee expenses and supplier invoices, ensuring timely processing.
  • Review employee expense reports for compliance with company policy and VAT requirements (Turkey/India/UK/Dubai).
  • Collate expense vouchers for billing and prepare charge-out information for the US billing team.
  • Analyze expense data using Concur expense systems.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to ensure timely invoice submission and payment processing.
  • Conduct monthly supplier reconciliations.
  • Prepare VAT documentation for review by the Management Accountant.
  • Work closely with colleagues in India, Dubai, and Turkey offices to resolve invoice and expense-related issues.
  • Assist with preparing banking journals for payment posting in Oracle, ensuring accurate coding.
  • Provide ad hoc support to the EMEA Management Accountant as needed.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in an accounts department, specializing in AP/GL.
  • AAT or equivalent qualification preferred.
  • Experience with accounting systems is required; Oracle experience is beneficial but not essential.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, particularly Excel, is essential.
  • Understanding of bookkeeping practices and accounting/tax terminology.
  • Strong mathematical, administrative, and organizational skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to identify inconsistencies.
  • Excellent prioritization skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
