Position Overview

The NHS England Finance and Planning Directorate is seeking a Senior Officer to join the Workforce, Training and Education Division. This role presents an exceptional opportunity to contribute to the essential operations that underpin the NHS.

In this position, you will:

  • Collaborate with governmental bodies to establish NHS funding agreements;

  • Investigate optimal financial management strategies within the NHS;
  • Assess how investments in infrastructure and equipment can elevate patient care.
  • Evaluate national resource utilization to enhance healthcare outcomes and address health disparities.

As a Senior Officer, your role will involve delivering comprehensive business partnering support to budget managers and service delivery leaders.

You will be responsible for producing precise and reliable financial data that aligns with the established financial reporting cycle, including monthly forecasts and annual budgets.

Essential Qualifications

  • NVQ Level 4 in a relevant field or equivalent experience.

Essential Skills

  • Ensuring timely and accurate recording, referencing, and reporting of financial information in compliance with established guidelines.

  • Assisting in the preparation of regular reports to inform senior management of pertinent financial information.
