Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Payroll Operations Manager to lead our UK&I payroll team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our payroll processes, as well as providing expert advice on statutory legislation and benefits.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the production and delivery of monthly payroll activities and associated reporting
  • Provide expert advice on statutory legislation, including PAYE, NIC, and statutory benefits
  • Analyse reporting requirements and deliver information to key stakeholders using expert knowledge of Excel
  • Ensure controls are in place to prevent inaccuracies and maintain audit controls
  • Coordinate with auditors to provide process-related information and resolve audit issues
  • Identify and utilise Oracle, OBIEE, and Microsoft Office to maintain and improve process efficiency

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience in a Payroll leadership role within a similar sized organisation
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders and able to gain clear agreement through persuasion, negotiation, and promotion of ideas
  • Demonstrated experience with statutory legislation relating to PAYE, National Insurance, and Statutory Payments
  • Knowledge of Appendix 5 and 6 concerning UK&I and international payroll calculations
  • Detailed knowledge of employment law as applicable to payroll and an excellent understanding of varied employer benefit policies
