Job Overview

Position: Senior CDM/PD Consultant

Carriera is pleased to collaborate with a distinguished independent consultancy specializing in property and construction services throughout the North of England. Established for over 15 years, this firm excels in project management, cost management, and risk management across various sectors including residential, education, healthcare, leisure, student accommodation, commercial, and retail.

In response to significant growth, with staff numbers expanding from 40 to 70 in the past year, the organization is seeking a seasoned CDM professional to enhance their team. The role involves overseeing projects across the North of England, with opportunities to work from their offices in the North West or Yorkshire, promoting a hybrid working culture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide a range of health and safety services to a diverse clientele.
  • Collaborate closely with health and safety and project management teams.
  • Oversee the health and safety file from project initiation to completion.
  • Evaluate construction phase plans.
  • Maintain pre-construction information effectively.
  • Participate in design team and client meetings, offering risk management advice during the pre-construction phase.
  • Deliver CDM/PD services to clients.
  • Conduct site safety inspections, investigations, and audits.
  • Foster new and existing client relationships.

Qualifications:

  • NEBOSH Construction or General certificate.
  • NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent (preferred but not mandatory).
  • Professional membership in IOSH and APS (preferred but not mandatory).
  • Background in design (preferred but not mandatory).
  • In-depth knowledge and practical experience of the 2015 CDM Regulations.
  • Awareness of building safety changes (preferred).
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
