Carriera is proud to collaborate with a distinguished independent consultancy in the property and construction domain, renowned for its project management, cost management, and risk management expertise across various sectors including residential, education, healthcare, leisure, and commercial.

With significant growth in the past year, expanding from 40 to 70 employees, the firm is on the lookout for a skilled CDM professional to enhance their team. This role involves overseeing projects throughout the North of England, with flexible working arrangements encouraged.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide a range of health and safety services to a varied clientele.
  • Collaborate closely with health and safety and project management teams.
  • Oversee the health and safety file from project initiation to completion.
  • Evaluate construction phase plans.
  • Maintain pre-construction information effectively.
  • Participate in design team and client meetings, offering risk management advice during the pre-construction phase.
  • Deliver CDM and Principal Designer services to clients.
  • Conduct site safety inspections, investigations, and audits.
  • Foster and develop relationships with new and existing clients.

Qualifications:

  • NEBOSH Construction or General Certificate.
  • NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent (preferred but not mandatory).
  • Professional membership with IOSH and APS (preferred but not mandatory).
  • Background in design (preferred but not mandatory).
  • In-depth knowledge and practical experience of the 2015 CDM Regulations.
  • Awareness of building safety updates (preferred).
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
