A leading construction consultancy is seeking a highly skilled Head of CDM and Principal Design to lead their dynamic team in Newcastle.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead and manage a team of CDM Advisors and Principal Designers
- Oversee the delivery of CDM services, ensuring high standards across all projects
- Act as the Principal Designer on major projects, providing strategic oversight
- Develop and implement CDM procedures and best practices within the team
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and design teams
- Provide expert advice and guidance to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Lead on the preparation of pre-construction information and review construction phase plans
- A NEBOSH Construction Certificate or equivalent Health & Safety qualification
- Extensive experience in CDM and Principal Design roles, ideally within a consultancy environment
- Strong working knowledge of CDM 2015 regulations
- APS or IOSH membership (desirable but not essential)
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders
- Competitive salary of £60,000 - £80,000 per annum (depending on experience)
