Position: Garden Operations Manager

At The Smartlist, we are seeking a dedicated Garden Operations Manager to oversee the maintenance and enhancement of our beautiful grounds.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and inspire a team of horticulturists and volunteers to ensure the gardens are kept in pristine condition.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including the proper use of personal protective equipment and safe working methods.
  • Design and execute a comprehensive garden maintenance strategy.
  • Supervise the planting, nurturing, and care of all flora, including plants, shrubs, trees, and flowers.
  • Maintain an organized inventory of gardening tools and equipment, ensuring they are well-maintained and replaced as necessary.
  • Oversee the upkeep of garden structures, such as fences, trellises, and composting areas.

Qualifications:

  • Proficient in manual tasks and skilled in operating and maintaining gardening machinery.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Ability to effectively manage and motivate a team.
  • Physical strength, stamina, and agility are essential.
  • Knowledge of safety and security protocols relevant to gardening and landscaping.

This is a full-time position with flexible hours to be discussed.
