Opportunity to Join a Thriving Gastroenterology Department

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Gastroenterology Consultant to join our dynamic team at the Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our department, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our services.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have a strong background in Gastroenterology and General Internal Medicine, with a proven track record of providing excellent patient care and leading clinical teams. You will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to develop and implement new services, improve patient outcomes, and enhance the overall quality of care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality patient care, including diagnosis, treatment, and management of gastrointestinal disorders
  • Lead and contribute to the development of new services and initiatives, including the expansion of our endoscopy unit
  • Collaborate with other consultants and healthcare professionals to improve patient outcomes and enhance the quality of care
  • Participate in clinical governance and quality improvement activities to ensure the highest standards of patient care
  • Contribute to the education and training of medical learners and other healthcare professionals

Person Specification
  • Full registration with the General Medical Council
  • A valid Licence to Practice with the General Medical Council
  • MRCPCH or MRCP or equivalent training and experience
  • Post Graduate Degree, e.g., MD, PhD, MSc
  • Evidence of Accredited Clinical & Educational Supervision of Medical Learners
