Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Social Worker to join our Mental Health Social Work Team at Doncaster Council. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals and families to achieve their outcomes and improve their well-being.

Key Responsibilities

  • Undertake holistic assessments and develop person-centered plans to support individuals and families in achieving their goals.
  • Work collaboratively with other professionals and agencies to ensure a comprehensive and coordinated approach to service delivery.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to colleagues and stakeholders on mental health and social care issues.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of the locality-based approach, using creative ways to support individuals to live the lives they choose.
  • Participate in the development and delivery of training and education programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of colleagues and stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Qualified Social Worker with a strong background in mental health and social care.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with individuals, families, and communities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality services.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures, with the ability to apply this knowledge in a practical context.
  • Ability to work flexibly, with a strong commitment to delivering services that meet the needs of individuals and communities.
