About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Educational Psychologist to join our team at Doncaster Council. As an Educational Psychologist, you will play a crucial role in supporting the development of children and young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct assessments and provide advice to schools and other settings on the educational and psychological needs of children and young people.
  • Develop and implement strategies to support the inclusion of children and young people with SEN in mainstream education.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement individualized education plans.
  • Provide training and support to schools and other settings on issues related to SEN and inclusion.
  • Contribute to the development of policies and procedures related to SEN and inclusion.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • A postgraduate qualification in Educational Psychology or a related field.
  • Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  • Experience of working with children and young people with SEN and their families.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other professionals.
  • Knowledge of current legislation and policies related to SEN and inclusion.
