Procurement Officer

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our Medicines Procurement and Homecare Team within the Pharmacy department at Cardiff and Vale University Health Board.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain knowledge of pharmacy procurement services and processes.
- Order medicines and chase outstanding orders under the supervision of a pharmacy technician.
- Work effectively in a team and under own initiative to deliver high-quality results.
- Collaborate with colleagues to achieve team goals and objectives.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to pharmacy procurement.
- Vocational Level 3 or equivalent training.
- 5 GCSE's / O levels or equivalent experience.
- ECDL / IT skills.
- Commitment to personal development.
- Relevant experience in procurement, pharmacy, or a related field.
- Working with and reporting from databases and spreadsheet applications.
- Stock control.
- Policy / Procedure development.
- Assertive / articulate / decision-making skills.
- Adaptable to new working practices.
