OBJECTIVE

As a Nursery Practitioner, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional educational and care services to children. Your primary responsibilities will include:

CHILDREN'S EDUCATION AND WELL-BEING
  • Ensuring that every child has access to the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum through thorough planning and execution.
  • Fostering a nurturing environment that promotes the development, safety, and well-being of children, including effective behavior management.
  • Collaborating with team members to design, prepare, and implement activities tailored to the diverse needs of all children, including those with Special Educational Needs.
  • Creating a warm, safe, and welcoming atmosphere for all children.
  • Enhancing understanding of various religious, ethnic, and cultural backgrounds, integrating these elements into daily activities.
  • Assisting in the preparation and serving of snacks and meals, while adhering to dietary requirements and food policies.
  • Participating in staff meetings and contributing to team discussions.
  • Acting as a positive role model for students and supporting new staff in acclimating to the nursery environment.
  • Encouraging parental involvement in the nursery and their children's educational journey.
  • Managing resources responsibly and effectively.
  • Being a key person for a designated group of children, ensuring their experiences at the nursery are enjoyable and educational.

SAFEGUARDING RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Implementing all necessary measures to ensure the safety and well-being of children.
  • Reporting any concerns to the designated safeguarding officer.
  • Adhering to the observe, record, report procedures.
  • Staying informed about updates to safeguarding policies and procedures.

DOCUMENTATION AND RECORD KEEPING
  • Maintaining accurate records of children's progress and routine observations as required.
  • Keeping parents updated on their child's health, well-being, and educational achievements.
  • Actively participating in planning, assessments, and recording to ensure high-quality childcare and education.

HYGIENE STANDARDS
  • Upholding exceptional hygiene and cleanliness standards in relation to personal conduct, children, equipment, and the environment.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • A minimum of Level 2 in Childcare or an equivalent qualification.
  • Possession of a valid Enhanced DBS check.
