Job Overview

Sodexo is seeking a Retail Assistant to join our team at RAF Brize Norton, Carterton. As a key member of our retail team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring the smooth operation of our convenience store.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sell products and operate the till system with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors regarding stock management, including taking deliveries, replenishing stock, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment.
  • Champion new ways of working within the store, demonstrating an open mindset and positive attitude.
  • Support the implementation of offers, promotions, and loyalty schemes, ensuring a seamless customer experience.
  • Perform cleaning duties in all areas of the store, facilities, and forecourt, maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene.
  • Confidently challenge customers who appear under 25 when purchasing restricted items.
Requirements
  • Previous retail experience is beneficial, but not essential; we offer comprehensive training to support your growth and development.
  • Contribute to store sales and cost control, demonstrating a keen eye for detail and a commitment to excellence.
  • Develop a good level of product knowledge and services across the store, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Utilize digital tools and applications effectively, staying up-to-date with the latest technology and trends.
  • Understand customer needs and identify opportunities to enhance the customer experience.
  • Adapt to changing circumstances, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to learn.
