Position Overview:
As SEN Support Staff, you will be instrumental in fostering the learning and growth of students with special educational needs. Your responsibilities will include collaborating closely with educators and fellow support staff to cultivate an inclusive educational atmosphere, providing tailored support, and aiding students in overcoming obstacles to their learning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individualized and small group support to students with SEN, modifying instructional strategies to cater to their unique requirements.
  • Assist in executing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and other support frameworks.
  • Encourage students in enhancing their social, emotional, and academic competencies.
  • Promote a welcoming and inclusive classroom environment where every student feels appreciated and supported.
  • Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other support personnel to ensure cohesive and effective assistance for students.
  • Support classroom activities, including preparing educational materials and organizing resources.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to educators and families.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Prior experience working with students with SEN is preferred.
  • Relevant qualifications or training in SEN support or education (e.g., Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant, SEN diploma) is advantageous.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a positive demeanor.
  • Ability to cultivate positive relationships with students, staff, and families.
  • Dedication to fostering the educational and personal growth of students with SEN.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to transition to a permanent role may become available at a later date.
