Our client is currently seeking an Employment Support Specialist to join their team on a full-time basis, working 37.5 hours per week, for a fixed-term contract.

The Role

As an Employment Support Specialist, you will provide a variety of employment and career-related advice and guidance to refugees, migrants, and the local community.

Specifically, you will deliver employability support and career information through face-to-face group sessions, assisting clients in reaching their objectives.

This may involve anything from launching their own business to pursuing training or securing employment.

By fostering positive relationships with employers and training providers, you will identify job vacancies and opportunities for your clients while maintaining strong connections with charitable organizations that support unemployed individuals through referrals to our client's services.


About You

To be considered for the role of Employment Support Specialist, you will need:

  • Experience in facilitating group sessions and delivering educational content
  • Proven experience in providing advice and guidance to service users
  • Background in supporting clients in work, education, and/or training
  • Ability to build relationships with employers, training providers, and support organizations
  • Familiarity with local support networks
  • Understanding of the challenges faced by refugees and migrants and strategies to overcome them
  • Knowledge of the welfare benefits system
  • Insight into employability support
  • A Level 4 IAG qualification or higher
