Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Compressor Service Engineer to join our team at Verto People. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for providing electrical and mechanical repair, service, and maintenance of compressed air equipment at customer sites across the Midlands.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform electrical and mechanical repair, service, and maintenance of compressed air equipment, including compressors, blowers, and dryers.
  • Undertake planned and preventative maintenance, provide advice, diagnostics, and fault finding of compressed air systems, vacuum pumps, blowers, and dryers.
  • Maintain, repair, and install air compressors, vacuum pumps, blowers, and dryers, and other compressed air and pneumatic equipment.
  • Perform emergency breakdown fault finding and repairs on various compressed air equipment.
  • Install compressed air and pipelines into all forms of the manufacturing industry.
  • Communicate with various engineering departments and customers to ensure seamless service delivery.
Requirements
  • Proven diagnostic skills on complicated electrical and mechanical engineering systems.
  • Experience as a Field Service Engineer, Service Engineer, Service Technician, Installation Engineer, Compressor Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, or similar.
  • Ability to maintain good professional working relationships with existing and new customers.
  • Field servicing background in electrical or mechanical engineering, including compressors, filtration, pneumatics, hydraulics, nitrogen generators, pipework, vacuum pumps, vacuum systems, valves, pumps, motors, diesel engines, rotating equipment, hydraulics, pneumatics, robotics, and electro-mechanical engineering equipment.
  • Good working knowledge of three-phase electrics and controls is advantageous.
  • A technical engineering degree or qualification, BCAS DIPCAM, FGas, or apprentice-trained, would be advantageous.
