Job Summary:

Harrison Scott Associates is seeking a highly skilled Field Service Technician to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for providing on-site technical support, maintenance, and training on a range of print and mailing production equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide timely and effective technical support to minimize operational downtime and ensure maximum machine uptime.
  • Conduct routine maintenance and perform regular preventative maintenance on applicable equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Manage site customer equipment, including inventory management, scheduling, and timely ordering of parts for site replenishment.
  • Identify, analyze, and repair machine failures, ordering replacement parts as required.
  • Assist production teams with daily operations and operator duties.
  • Provide technical product training and basic user functionality training to staff when required.
  • Evaluate and escalate technical and mechanical issues to the Operations Manager.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to provide product feedback and suggestions.
  • Analyze and create various dashboard reports, parts usage reports, and site history to ensure maximum machine uptime and adherence to best practices.
  • Expand technical knowledge by attending training courses and staying up-to-date with industry developments.
  • Provide out-of-hours support as needed to meet business requirements.
  • Foster positive internal and external relationships through effective communication and customer service.

Requirements:

  • Educated to Degree level in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • 3+ years of related industry/equipment experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience with mailing camera systems.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and documentation.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to coordinate with others to accomplish goals.
