Job Summary

The Telegraph is seeking a skilled Production Editor to join our team. As a Production Editor, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of journalism across our Features and Lifestyle articles.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sub-edit copy to the highest possible standard, adhering closely to Telegraph style.
  • Work to tight deadlines in a fast-paced newsroom, maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Fact-check articles thoroughly, ensuring accuracy and credibility.
  • Copy edit digital articles to fit them for the print page, optimizing content for various platforms.
  • Collaborate with digital publishing teams, SEO, social, and visuals to ensure articles perform to their potential.
  • Write attention-grabbing headlines, standfirsts, and captions that resonate with our audience.

Requirements

  • Quick and accurate subbing, ideally at a national level.
  • Experience in production and publishing within Features, Lifestyle, or longreads.
  • Knowledge of InDesign and print CMS.
  • Able to respond well under pressure and adhere to strict deadlines.
