About the Role

This ambitious research project is focused on the innovation of bioresorbable orthobiologic devices to support delivery of novel therapeutics and validating the efficacy of this approach through the use of 3D in vitro models.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Formulate, manufacture, and characterize melt processed bioresorbable polymer bioactive composites.
  • Design and conduct experimental statistical analysis, in vitro cytotoxicity, and functional osteogenic cell testing.
  • Develop and implement novel treatments to combat musculoskeletal disease.

About the Project

The project falls under the Musculoskeletal Theme within the Biomedical Research Centre in Precision Healthcare, awarded to the Barts Health NHS Trust clinical/academic delivery partnership by the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR).
