Carpentry and Joinery Lecturer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Carpentry and Joinery Lecturer to join our team at Burton and South Derbyshire College. As a Carpentry and Joinery Lecturer, you will be responsible for teaching and assessing students in our Level 1-3 Carpentry and Joinery programs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Teach and assess students in Carpentry and Joinery programs
  • Support and facilitate student learning
  • Liaise closely with management and other departments
  • Deliver part-time evening courses as required
Requirements:
  • Industrial and commercial experience within the carpentry and joinery industry
  • Understanding and knowledge of apprenticeship systems and operations
  • Appropriate teaching qualification, Assessor award, and teaching experience desirable
  • Qualified to, or willing to work towards, Level 2 English and Maths
