Job Summary:
The Service Improvement Team is an exciting new addition to the Housing Service at North Yorkshire Council. The team is responsible for enhancing service delivery for residents across all areas of the Housing Service, from communications to policies, processes, and systems used. The service focuses on ensuring compliance with the Consumer Standards set by the Regulator of Social Housing. Service improvement is situated within the Housing Delivery and Partnerships Service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Service Improvement Manager in ensuring a high level of service delivery across all housing service areas, taking a lead on improvement projects and contributing to the delivery of the Housing Improvement Plan.
- Work closely with the Policy and Performance Team in developing the Housing Revenue Account Policy Framework, ensuring that strategies, policies, and procedures across Landlord Services and Housing Standards functions are harmonized, fully compliant with standards, agreed through appropriate governance protocols, and regularly reviewed.
- Oversight of service data, working with the Housing Asset Manager to ensure that relevant data and evidence bases are maintained to support and shape housing delivery and service improvement priorities.
Requirements:
- Passion for delivering high-quality services to residents and drive to ensure continuous improvement and evidence-based policy development.
- In-depth knowledge of current and emerging policy and legislation regarding Housing with experience in developing strategy and policy.
