We are seeking a skilled Repairs Surveyor to join our team at Brackenberry Ltd, working closely with a Local Authority in Swindon. This is a 6-month contract, with a high likelihood of extension. The ideal candidate will have experience in coordinating and delivering building repairs, working with both direct and indirect labor, and diagnosing building faults.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Coordinate and supervise building maintenance operatives to ensure efficient use of resources and provide advice to repairs managers on resource allocation.
- Ensure all work is completed within priority periods and to a high standard.
- Pre-inspect work to identify content, duration, and materials required, and liaise with surveyors to clarify before works commence, reducing failure to complete.
- Produce detailed schedules of works and specify requirements to enable in-house workforce to carry out tasks.
- Pre-order non-stock materials and stock materials for larger or more complicated works, ensuring timely collection or delivery.
**Requirements:**
- Experience in coordinating and delivering a wide range of building repairs.
- Experience in working with both direct and indirect labor.
- Knowledge in diagnosing building faults to a wide range of buildings.
**Important Notes:**
- Candidates must be available to work immediately or at short notice.
- Candidates must have the right to work in the UK.
