About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Repairs Surveyor to join our Operations team at Swindon Borough Council. As a Repairs Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in delivering technical solutions to maintain the structural integrity of our housing stock and corporate buildings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Survey and diagnose issues with domestic dwellings and corporate buildings
  • Develop and implement technical solutions for repairs and maintenance
  • Provide recommendations for remedial works and action to be taken
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, including Elected Members, residents, and local businesses
  • Support improvements to customer services
Requirements
  • Experience in surveying a wide range of housing buildings
  • Detailed knowledge of construction-related health and safety regulations
  • Knowledge of planning and building regulations and other related building codes
  • Knowledge of building contract law
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Full driving license
  • Experience in a related field with face-to-face contact with the public
