Job Description

**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a highly skilled Facilities Operations Manager to join our team at Mundipharma. As a key member of our Workplace Services department, you will be responsible for the effective management and delivery of soft services to all employees across our Cambridge Campus and supporting other locations as required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of facilities staff and subcontractors, including developing their skills, knowledge, and qualifications, and ensuring they meet performance expectations.
  • Oversee the provision, delivery, and management of costs for externally provided services, including catering, cleaning, landscaping, maintenance, and postal services.
  • Prioritize cost-saving opportunities and work with purchasing teams to negotiate with suppliers and achieve the lowest possible total cost.
  • Proactively manage resources and costs, allocating and monitoring workplace projects and requests, and reporting trends and anomalies to the Director of Global Real Estate.
  • Collaborate with Finance to develop and coordinate Requests for Proposals for major categories of spend, evaluate proposals, and select suppliers.
  • Manage operational relationships with customer groups' Finance teams to provide budget and actual costs as agreed.

Requirements:

  • Provide advice and guidance on best practice service design, delivery standards, asset and property lifecycle management, and financial management.
  • Drive the Category Management process for global and site-level Capital & Workplace initiatives through a cross-functional and collaborative team approach.
  • Liaise closely with Health & Safety and Engineering to maintain building and work environment standards in accordance with legislation and pharmaceutical industry best practice.
  • Manage relationships with key suppliers, ensuring budget and service reviews are regularly delivered.
