Services Manager Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Services Manager to join our team at Romans Recruitment Group Ltd.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Manage and coordinate all aspects of tenders, from £100,000 to £20m, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
  2. Lead the tender process, including attending walk-arounds, gathering information, and preparing proposals and costs for clients.
  3. Coordinate the stage-by-stage signoff of information, drawings, and design, maintaining a weekly progress record.
  4. Oversee the coordination of building services activities, ensuring spatial awareness and programming/logistical approach.
  5. Monitor and control sub-contractor accounts, applications, and variations, ensuring prompt settlement upon project completion.
  6. Provide detailed cost advice to Commercial Managers for incorporation into financial control documents.
  7. Review RAMS (Risk Assessments and Method Statements) from a health and safety and technical appraisal perspective.
  8. Undertake detailed snagging (defects inspection) of installed services, ensuring quality and technical specification compliance.
  9. Produce detailed snagging reports and oversee the process of clearing snags and final sign-off, including O&M Manuals, maintenance, and client training.

The ideal candidate will have a contracting background, with experience in design and build, and a good understanding of building services, including lifts, voice and data, sprinklers, AV, security, mechanical, and electrical services.
