Senior Safety Case Engineer - Onyx-Conseil


Our client, a leading company in the nuclear sector, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced senior safety case engineer to join their team. This contract role will involve working on-site at our Warrington office, with occasional visits to other locations.


Role Overview

As a Senior Safety Case Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring that all safety cases meet relevant regulatory requirements while maintaining high standards of quality throughout the project lifecycle. You will work closely with other engineers and stakeholders across different teams to ensure effective communication during planning, design implementation phases through commissioning stages until handover.


Key Responsibilities:
  1. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all safety cases meet relevant regulatory requirements, including those related to nuclear safety.
  2. Team Leadership: Lead and manage teams to deliver large, technically complex, fit-for-purpose safety cases.
  3. Technical Expertise: Provide specialist advice and guidance on safety management and regulatory negotiation.
  4. Knowledge Sharing: Mentor, train, and develop more junior staff to ensure the transfer of knowledge and expertise.


Requirements:
  1. SC Clearance: Possess a valid SC clearance.
  2. Education: Hold a Bachelor's degree or higher qualification in an engineering discipline.
  3. Professional Membership: Be a member or hold chartered status with a recognized professional body.
