We are seeking a dedicated full-time Support Assistant to work within a Special Educational Needs (SEN) Primary School located in Milton Keynes.

This role involves working with a small cohort of students aged 5 to 11, primarily focusing on those with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, as well as those with complex requirements following a tailored curriculum.

Key Responsibilities:


Assisting Senior Learning Support Assistants and Teachers in preparing educational resources tailored to the individual learning objectives of assigned students.

Providing personalized 1:1 support under the guidance of the class Teacher to facilitate skills-based learning.

Collaborating closely with the class Teacher to monitor and report on student progress using a data-driven approach.

Empowering students to achieve their learning goals by helping them understand their targets, practice new skills, and encouraging independence.


Contributing to the overall support necessary to ensure students' well-being and their ability to engage effectively in the learning process.

Understanding and implementing safeguarding policies and procedures is essential.

Qualifications Required:
A minimum of GCSE qualifications in English and Maths is essential.

Experience:
Experience in a similar educational role is preferred but not mandatory.

Skills and Knowledge:
Ability to take initiative and act proactively.

Strong organizational skills to manage tasks effectively.

Ability to prioritize and handle multiple responsibilities efficiently.

All stated pay rates include statutory holiday pay. This position is temporary, with the potential for a permanent role in the future.
