Regional Health and Safety Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Regional Health, Safety, Environmental and Compliance Advisor to join our team at Safer Hand Solutions Ltd. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a busy and demanding role, reporting directly to the Senior Management Team, and having a free, unrestricted opportunity to have a real impact in the role.
Key Responsibilities:- Promote, advise and guide the Dealership teams on all aspects of Health Safety and Environmental responsibilities and ISO compliance.
- Provide leadership, support and training for location Health, Safety advisers and dealership teams
- Undertake full HSE and Compliance auditing twice per year at each location and recommend corrective actions for local implementation.
- Undertake ISO9001 & ISO14001 audits at each location annually and recommend corrective actions for local implementation
- Review the regions exposure to HSE risks and identify and implement where appropriate the necessary corrective measures
- Undertake accident investigations as required and monitor data in order to highlight causes, identify remedial actions and reduce risks
- Monitor the implementation of HSE and Compliance initiatives to ensure that expected results are achieved and benefits realised
- Undertake and implement projects and initiatives in order to improve HSE & Compliance standards
- Monitor the performance and service provided to the business by our occupational health advisors
- Highlight breaches of HSE policies and Compliance procedures and escalate to appropriate level of management.
- Undertake HSE & Compliance audits according to agreed schedule
- Compliance with HSE & ISO standards
- Level of achievement by dealerships of Risks Assessment Operating standards
- No of accidents/incidents and days lost due to injuries at work
- Level of Employers liability injury claims year on year
- Volume of training and communication activities completed
- Achievement of HSE & Compliance annual targets
- Timely resolution of defect notices and non-conformance matters.
- BSC, IOSH, NEBOSH NGC, NVQ or other formal safety qualification
- Communication/Influencing skills
- Presentation skills
- Knowledge of current legislation & ISO Standards
- Project Management
- Team Leadership
