Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head Chef to join our team at Conway Group Healthcare in a dynamic and supportive environment.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall management of the kitchen, including menu planning, food preparation, and presentation. They will also be responsible for leading a team of culinary professionals and ensuring that the highest standards of food quality and safety are maintained.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement menus that meet the dietary needs and preferences of our residents
  • Lead a team of culinary professionals to ensure that food is prepared and presented to the highest standards
  • Manage kitchen operations, including inventory, ordering, and budgeting
  • Ensure that all food safety and hygiene standards are met
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure that resident needs are met

Requirements

  • NVQ Level 2/3 or City & Guilds Equivalent, preferably level 3
  • Food Hygiene level 2
  • Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in a healthcare setting
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks
