JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

The Endpoint Systems Engineer I will be essential in maintaining the operational integrity and reliability of our IT systems. This role encompasses the management and upkeep of both hardware and software infrastructures, the deployment of updates and patches, and the resolution of technical challenges. The ideal candidate will possess proficiency in MCM, JAMF, Intune, and PowerShell to enhance automation and optimize system administration workflows. A proactive individual with strong organizational capabilities, problem-solving acumen, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively across various teams.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Responsibilities:Deploy, configure, and sustain hardware and software systems throughout the organization.Oversee and monitor MCM, JAMF, and Intune platforms to facilitate software deployments, updates, and patch management.Construct, test, and deploy software packages using MCM, Intune, and JAMF.Manage endpoint imaging and deployment infrastructure via MCM and Intune.Employ PowerShell and other scripting languages to automate routine tasks and enhance system administration processes and software distribution.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software-related challenges.Proactively upgrade endpoints, software, and processes to improve functionality and address security concerns.Maintain and create system documentation, including configuration settings, procedures, troubleshooting guides, software distribution, and licensing.Install, repair, and upgrade campus desktop devices, including hardware, printers, and peripherals as necessary.
Engage in regular operational meetings/discussions to review, plan, update, and inform processes, workflows, policies, and projects.Implement and manage hardware inventory and asset tracking utilizing various tools.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience with a minimum of two years related experience.Proficiency in MCM (Microsoft Configuration Manager), JAMF, and Intune.Strong scripting skills in PowerShell and/or batch for automation and task execution.Comprehensive knowledge of hardware and software components, including operating systems, networking, and security.Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently.Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with users of varying levels of technical competency.
Detail-oriented and highly organized, with the capacity to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Hiring Range: $62,500 - $70,000. WPI's benefits include a robust retirement match, wellness perks, tuition assistance, and more.
