ROLE OBJECTIVE
Experienced

Automotive Engineer
The objective of this position is to play a vital role within the engineering team, located at Exsel's Worcestershire site, focusing on project execution, service delivery, and product innovation. This role involves the design, implementation, testing, acceptance, and after-sales support of automotive vehicles tailored for the international defense market.

This position is centered on the automotive engineering facets of the projects, collaborating within a multidisciplinary and multi-site engineering team to deliver comprehensive solutions to our clients.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Specific duties include:
1. Advancing the company's objectives by creating innovative and robust automotive designs.
2. Translating designs into clear workshop and supplier drawings, considering the manufacturing process.
3. Providing technical expertise during the tender process, including preparing specifications, cost estimates, and plans based on customer needs.
4. Conducting regular design reviews and documenting outcomes.
5. Leading technical discussions with customers, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure customer requirements are fulfilled.
6. Performing feasibility studies and engineering assessments.
7. Approving designs and drawings against specified criteria.
8. Offering technical support to the operations department.
9. Mentoring team members and fostering knowledge and skill development.
10. Understanding and adhering to health and safety regulations.
11. Participating in performance reviews to identify strengths and areas for development.
12. Engaging in continuous professional development.

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Flexibility to work outside core hours when necessary.
Willingness to travel to other Exsel sites and occasionally overseas.
Eligibility to work in the UK without restrictions and meet UK government security vetting criteria.
HEALTH & SAFETY
