Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to join our team at University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust (UHBW). As a key member of our multi-disciplinary team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality clinical services to children and young people with complex mental health needs.
Key Responsibilities- Triaging referrals into the service in a multi-professional setting
- Providing consultation and support to the MDT on complex case support, risk management, and diagnostic dilemmas
- Undertaking detailed and complex assessments aligned to a pre-agreed approach, using a high degree of clinical expertise
- Liaising with other health professionals and social care teams as necessary to support appropriate care for patients
- Communicating complex information in a skilled and sensitive manner with a specialist caseload of young people and their parents/carers

Requirements- MRCPsych
- CCT Child and Adolescent Psychiatry
- Full GMC Registration & inclusion on Specialist GMC Register
- Sec and Approved Clinician status (or undertaking to obtain this on taking up the post)
- Higher academic qualification MD, PhD or equivalent
- Experience of working with young people in mental health community settings
- Experience of effective multidisciplinary team working
- Experience of effective multi-agency partnership
