Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced SEND Teacher to join our team at a specialist class within a mainstream primary school in Tower Hamlets. As a dedicated and passionate educator, you will be responsible for developing and implementing Educational Health Care Plans (EHCPS) for students with special educational needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized learning plans to meet the diverse needs of students.
  • Provide a supportive and inclusive learning environment that promotes emotional and social growth.
  • Collaborate with support staff, therapists, and parents to ensure the holistic development of each student.
  • Deliver engaging and differentiated lessons to meet the learning styles and abilities of the class.
  • Monitor and report on student progress, adapting teaching strategies as necessary.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent SEN teaching certification.
  • Proven experience working as a SEND Teacher in a primary school is desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of special education practices, strategies, and resources.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills for collaboration with support staff and parents.
  • Passion and commitment to making a difference in the lives of special needs students.
