Job Purpose

The role of the Local Business Development Manager is to:

  • Support and develop the Fleet and business operation within the region.
  • Grow Fleet, Business, and retail sales channels by developing relationships with local businesses and renewal activities.
  • Ensure our fleet operation abides by all regulatory and company policies.

This role reports into the Fleet Manager.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Developing new business through prospecting non-showroom traffic, introducing, and following up suitable sales prospects.
  • Managing Renewal activity within the dealership/group.
  • Supporting retail sales executives with product and business knowledge.
  • Managing direct sales channel and activity.
  • Providing exceptional client experiences throughout the sales process and delivering exceptional NPS results.
  • Attending marketing events/networking events to increase local representation and network.
  • Working with the aftersales department to generate leads into the department.
  • Adhering to regulatory and company compliance with all Fleet sales.
  • Supporting other LBDMs and Fleet operation as and when required.
  • Advising corporate customers on vehicle specification and new developments together with the financial effect of the different funding plans on their business.
  • Accurately maintaining the corporate customer database.
  • Ensuring pre-delivery inspections take place and that any delays are communicated to customers.
  • Maintaining accurate stock availability information.
  • Accurately calculating part exchange vehicles over allowance and finance terms.
  • Reporting weekly/monthly ratios against target and communicating all activities and sales to the manufacturer promptly and accurately.
  • Participating in planning sales campaigns and promotions.
  • Ensuring the safety and security of people, vehicles, and property at all times, reporting any known faults or hazards.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A full UK driving license.
  • A smart appearance.
  • Competency in numeracy, literacy, and IT.
