Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Occupational Health Nurse Advisor to join our multidisciplinary team at South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our Occupational Health department, you will play a vital role in providing excellent patient care and contributing to the delivery of high-quality healthcare services.

Main Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Delivering a comprehensive range of occupational health services, including health surveillance, assessments, and health advice to employees and management.
  • Participating in health surveillance programs and conducting assessments to identify potential health risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  • Providing expert advice and guidance to management on health-related matters, including employee health and well-being.
  • Developing and implementing comprehensive client-centered objectives and plans to promote employee health and well-being.
  • Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care and effective communication.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Significant post-registration experience in occupational health within the NHS.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with employees, management, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Strong clinical skills and knowledge of occupational health principles and practices.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a high level of autonomy and flexibility.
  • Leadership and management skills, with experience of leading and managing teams.
