SEN Teaching Assistant Role

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN teaching assistant to join our team at Long-term Teachers Ltd. As a SEN teaching assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils with special educational needs in a variety of settings.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide individualized support to pupils with SEN, promoting their learning and development.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement personalized learning plans.
  • Assist with lesson planning, preparation, and delivery, ensuring that pupils with SEN are fully included in the learning process.
  • Use behavioral management strategies and other interventions to support pupils with challenging behaviors.
  • Communicate effectively with parents, carers, and other professionals to ensure that pupils receive consistent support.
Requirements:
  • Experience working with pupils with SEN, preferably in a school setting.
  • Knowledge of behavioral management strategies and other interventions for supporting pupils with challenging behaviors.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, communicating effectively with colleagues and other professionals.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of support and intervention programs for SEND.
  • Patience, nurturing, and kind mindset, with a flexible approach to meeting the needs of pupils with SEN.
