About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Radiographer Specialist to join our Imaging Team at University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality imaging services to our patients while ensuring a positive experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the delivery of the DR service by providing high-quality imaging to a variety of patients
  • Organise and manage the department on a day-to-day basis
  • Assist the Clinical Team Leaders in daily activities and deputise in their absence
  • Ensure all QA of the equipment is carried out, vetting and prioritisation of both inpatients and outpatient referrals
  • Participate in departmental audits and ensure that all equipment faults are reported and actioned in a timely manner

Requirements

  • DCR/BSc Diagnostic Radiography qualification
  • HCPC Registration
  • Evidence of relevant UK experience
  • Professional knowledge acquired through degree plus short specialist courses

Desirable Criteria

  • Up-to-date knowledge and awareness of current NHS issues
  • Strong leadership skills
