Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Manager to lead our mechanical disciplines and drive excellence in maintenance standards and workflows. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for implementing and developing maintenance standards, managing the mechanical maintenance team, and ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.

Main Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement maintenance standards and workflows to enhance reliability, compliance, and safety
  • Lead the mechanical maintenance team and manage contractors associated with the team
  • Ensure attendance of team members at required trainings and develop competency within the mechanical department
  • Continuously improve maintenance procedures, workflows, and standards
  • Manage change in relation to technical and engineering facilities
  • Ensure the mechanical integrity of the plant consistent with corporate and UK legislation and standards

Key Performance Indicators

  • Logging, evaluating, and controlling of maintenance key performance indicators (KPI)
  • Troubleshooting and developing technical solutions to safety, process, and reliability issues
  • Feeding into maintenance and shutdown planning routine and critical tasks

About You

We are looking for an experienced people manager with a proven track record in engineering and/or maintenance experience in a chemical, pharmaceutical, or petrochemical plant. You will have:

  • A degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering
  • Excellent communication and teamworking skills
  • Good organisational and problem-solving skills
  • Detailed knowledge of common regulations and standards
  • Knowledge of current Health, Safety and Environment Legislation and Engineering Standards
  • A good understanding of maintenance processes and experience of plant engineering activity
  • Knowledge of computerized maintenance management systems
