About the Role
The Mechanical Maintenance Manager will lead the mechanical disciplines for the Lanxess Trafford Park site, implementing and developing maintenance standards and workflows. This role is responsible for managing the introduction and implementation of maintenance standards in line with Lanxess regulations, standards, and guidelines, as well as professional standards.
Main Responsibilities:
- Leadership and Line Management: Develop competency within the mechanical department, ensuring continuous improvements of maintenance procedures, workflows, and standards.
- Compliance: Involvement in process safety and hazard analysis (HAZOP) and process safety compliance with realization of process safety measures within area of responsibility.
- Maintenance: Logging, evaluating, and controlling of the maintenance key performance indicators (KPI), taking ownership of escalated maintenance issues, and developing technical solutions to safety, process, and reliability issues.
About You
The ideal candidate will be an experienced people manager with proven engineering and/or maintenance experience in a chemical, pharmaceutical, or petrochemical plant on either lower or upper tier COMAH sites. They will be confident in managing multidisciplinary teams and medium to large maintenance and capital budgets.
- Education: Degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering
- Skills: Excellent communication and teamworking skills, good organizational and problem-solving skills, detailed knowledge of common regulations and standards, knowledge of current Health, Safety and Environment Legislation and Engineering Standards.
