About the Role

Barnet Council is seeking a qualified social worker to join our team. As a social worker, you will be responsible for providing high-quality social care services to adults and carers in accordance with the Care Act 2014 and Barnet policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of adults and carers to identify their needs and develop personalized care plans.
  • Prepare clear and accurate reports, correspondence, and other written documentation to support care planning and decision-making.
  • Work collaboratively with adults, their families, carers, and advocates, as well as colleagues and external organizations, to deliver effective and efficient services.
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with stakeholders to ensure the best possible outcomes for adults at risk.
  • Stay up-to-date with relevant legislation, policies, and processes, including the Care Act, Mental Capacity Act, and Barnet practice.
Requirements
  • Qualification in social work or a related field.
  • Experience of working with adults and carers, including those with complex needs.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team and establish strong working relationships with stakeholders.
  • Good understanding of relevant legislation, policies, and processes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
