Job Summary:
AEGIS Engineering Systems is seeking a highly skilled Safety Assurance Engineer to support our Engineering, Assurance, and Independent Assessment activities. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing safety/system assurance for railway vehicles and their principal sub-systems and interfaces.
Key Responsibilities:
- Apply safety/system assurance processes, including standards relating to railway safety assurance, such as EN50126, and legislation, such as ROGS and CSM-RA regulations.
- Use RAMS tools and techniques, such as hazard identification, risk assessment, FTA, FMECA, and reliability assessments.
- Interface with clients and other project stakeholders at both a technical and contractual level.
- Manage the delivery of safety-related projects to timescale, cost, and quality.
- Provide expertise and advice on safety engineering practice and how to apply it to potential solutions.
- Lead or deliver the development of safety assurance documentation, including Safety Plans/Strategies, Safety Requirements, and Safety Reports.
- Support commercial processes, such as writing proposals.
