Job Overview

A forward-thinking, independent accountancy practice is seeking a motivated Part-Qualified or Qualified Tax Accountant to join their team. This firm is dedicated to modernisation and transformation, providing an exciting opportunity for growth and professional development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and review tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, and trusts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with tax laws and regulations.
  • Provide tax planning and advisory services to clients, identifying opportunities for tax savings and minimising tax liabilities.
  • Conduct research on tax issues and developments and effectively communicate findings to clients and colleagues.
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships, serving as a trusted advisor on tax matters and providing proactive solutions to meet their needs.
  • Stay updated on changes in tax legislation and regulations and communicate implications to clients and colleagues.
  • Collaborate with other members of the tax team and cross-functional teams to implement process improvements and enhance efficiency.
  • Support the firm's modernisation and transformation initiatives by embracing new technologies, tools, and methodologies to streamline tax processes.
Requirements
  • Studying towards your ATT / CTA is preferred, but ACA/ACCA considered if you're working in a tax capacity.
  • Solid understanding of tax principles, regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Previous experience in tax compliance and advisory within a public accounting firm or tax consultancy.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite.
