Job Summary

As a member of our prison support team, you will play a vital role in maintaining the smooth operation of our prisons. Your work will be varied and challenging, requiring good judgment, common sense, and a strong sense of responsibility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure the secure entry and exit of staff, visitors, and vehicles
  • Carry out searches of staff, prisoners, visitors, and vehicles
  • Escort prisoners and staff as required
  • Monitor CCTV and report any suspicious activities
  • Process mail and parcels coming into the prison
  • Supervise prisoners and assist prison officers as needed
  • Deliver and collect food trollies and other items
  • Transport prisoners and staff to their destinations
Requirements

You will need to be able to work a varied shift pattern, including nights, evenings, and weekends. You will also need to be able to lift and carry heavy items, and to work in a fast-paced environment.
