Customer Arrears Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Customer Arrears Agent to join our team at Kensington Mortgage Company. As a key member of our Customer Arrears Support Team, you will play a crucial role in communicating with customers experiencing mortgage payment difficulties and assessing their financial and personal circumstances.
Key Responsibilities- Communicate with customers to understand their arrears balances and financial difficulties.
- Assess customer vulnerability and identify suitable resolutions, such as arrangements to pay or forbearance.
- Handle customer correspondence, resolve queries, and log complaints.
- Navigate customers through the mortgage pre-litigation process.
- Plan and prioritize workloads to meet service standards.
- Ensure all work is completed in line with applicable policy, procedure, and regulation.
- Collections/arrears experience in a telephony environment, preferably in the financial services/mortgage industry.
- Good understanding of vulnerable customers and identifying vulnerability.
- Strong negotiation and reasoning skills for effective resolutions.
- Ability to effectively probe and question customers while showing empathy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and ability to navigate multiple systems.
